"The
houseboat fit our needs for the “camping”
we did while we were there. We enjoyed
the open-air feel and “back to nature”
aspect of Charlie’s Island. While I
enjoyed using the fishing poles for
catching some fresh “grunts” for lunch and
dinner on a couple of days, we got the
most use out of the kayaks………..definitely
a nice addition. The location of
Charlie’s Island is very good, also. The
view from most angles is of unpopulated or
undeveloped land or water, and the proximity
to civilization is more of a security
blanket than an intrusion. The week seemed
all-too-short. I’ve already shown the
photos to the folks in my office and they
were very impressed/envious. We’ll
definitely keep this option for vacation
in mind for future occasions."

your houseboat and wander the paths through the mangrove
trees, enjoy fishing from the dock, or snorkeling in the
crystal clear waters around the island. We provide a grill
and picnic table for your tropical picnic as well as a
hammock for the perfect perch to enjoy the tropical breezes
off the Gulf waters. In the evening, you can watch the
sunset from the island or atop the houseboat. This is
ideal for people who are interested in a rustic, camp like
adventure!
